Checks for teachers look a lot like student checks, with a few differences worth knowing.
Proving you work at a school
Expect to confirm with a school email address or a document such as a staff ID. Some vendors run the check through SheerID; others use their own form.
Personal plans and classroom plans
Some tools have a separate plan for classes or whole schools, which may need the school to sign up. A personal educator discount is usually the quicker one to claim.
Student data
Before you use an AI tool with a class, read what it does with the data you put in, and check your school's policy on student data.

- What do I need to verify as a teacher?
- Usually a school email address, or a document that shows you work at a school, such as a staff ID. Some vendors verify through SheerID, which keeps its own list of eligible schools.
- Can I use an educator discount for private tutoring?
- It depends on the vendor's terms. Some offers require you to work at an accredited school, and some licences cover teaching only. Read the eligibility section on the offer page before you claim.
