What you need

Nothing extra: no card, no school email and no ID check.

How to claim it

    Log in at midjourney.com and open the Manage Subscription page (midjourney.com/account).

  2. 02

    Scroll down to the plans. Yearly billing is selected by default, so stay on that tab.

    Press Subscribe under the plan you want and pay through the Stripe checkout.

  4. 04

    Check your billing email for the invoice and receipt. Back on Manage Subscription, your plan shows as active.

The catches

  • You pay the whole year up front: $96 (Basic), $288 (Standard), $576 (Pro) or $1,152 (Mega). Refunds only apply if you've used less than 20 GPU minutes in your account's lifetime.

  • The plan renews automatically every year unless you set it to cancel.

  • Fast GPU time is still a monthly allowance (15 hours a month on Standard). Paying yearly doesn't add more.

  • You can't switch from a yearly plan to a higher monthly plan on the website. You have to contact billing support.

How much is each Midjourney plan per year?

Basic $96 ($8/month), Standard $288 ($24/month), Pro $576 ($48/month), Mega $1,152 ($96/month). Monthly billing is $10, $30, $60 and $120.

Can I get a refund on a yearly Midjourney plan?

Only if you've used less than 20 GPU minutes (Fast, Turbo and Relax together) over your account's lifetime. If you qualify, the refund option shows up when you cancel.

Is there a Midjourney student discount?

No student price is listed. Midjourney's education article says each student needs their own account and subscription, paid with their own payment method.

Can I pay with PayPal?

No. Midjourney bills through Stripe: major credit and debit cards, plus wallets like Apple Pay and Google Pay in some regions. PayPal isn't supported.

How do I pay monthly instead?

Click the "Monthly Billing" tab before you pick a plan. Yearly is the default.
