How to claim it

    Open jetbrains.com/shop/eform/students and sign in or create a JetBrains Account.

    Pick how you verify: university email, ISIC/ITIC card, or your GitHub Student Developer Pack.

  3. 03

    Confirm the link JetBrains emails you (for the email route).

  4. 04

    Open any JetBrains IDE and log in with your account. The licence should show as an educational licence.

The catches

  • It can't be used for commercial work, including paid freelance jobs.

  • It lasts one year. JetBrains emails you two weeks before it expires, and you renew from your JetBrains Account.

  • JetBrains AI is only a limited trial on the Student Pack. AI Pro is US$100 a year after that.

Questions

What if my university email is rejected?

Use an ISIC card or the GitHub Student Developer Pack instead, or submit your school's email domain to the SWOT repository that JetBrains uses.

What happens when I graduate?

You get 40% off any JetBrains product or the All Products Pack for two years after the Student Pack ends. It applies when you log in.

Do I need a credit card?

No. JetBrains says no card is required for the Student Pack.
