    On first launch, choose the non-commercial use option and log in with a JetBrains Account.

  3. 03

    Accept the non-commercial terms. The IDE should open with a one-year non-commercial licence.

The catches

  • The moment you earn money from the work, you need a paid commercial licence (WebStorm is US$79 a year).

  • The licence lasts a year and only renews if you used the IDE at least once in the last 6 months.

  • Anonymous usage statistics are always sent, with no opt-out. Support is the public forum and bug tracker only.

  • IntelliJ IDEA Ultimate, PyCharm Pro, GoLand and PhpStorm are not part of this offer.
