What you need

How to claim it

Sign up for Notion (or log in) with your school email address.

On desktop or web, open Settings in the sidebar and choose Upgrade plan.

Pick Get free education plan. If your school is recognised, the upgrade is instant.

No option showing? If your school is in the World Higher Education Database, contact Notion support to get the domain added.
The catches
It is a one-member workspace. Group workspaces pay the normal Plus or Business price.
If you can no longer verify with a valid education email, the workspace and all its content move to the Free plan.
The upgrade option is on desktop and web, not the mobile app.
Questions
Can school (K-12) students get it?
No. Notion says K-12 students and educators are not eligible.
What about student clubs?
Volunteer student organizations at verified institutions can get the Plus plan for all members, with up to 100 guests.
What happens after I graduate?
Once you can no longer verify with a school email, the workspace moves to the Free plan with your content kept.
