Is there a Gemini student discount?
Yes. Eligible US college students 18+ get Google AI Pro at $0 for one year. Students 18+ in India and the UK (and students and apprentices in Germany) get Google AI Plus for one year instead. Both must be redeemed by December 31, 2026.
Do I need a card for the student plan?
Yes. Google asks for a valid form of payment at sign-up. In the US, AI Pro then charges $19.99/month when the year ends unless you cancel.
Do I have to re-verify?
Yes, Google says student eligibility has to be verified each year.
Can I cancel?
Yes, the student page says you can cancel anytime. Cancel before the year ends if you do not want to pay the monthly price.
