How to claim it

    Sign in to Perplexity with any email, personal or school.

  2. 02

    Click Upgrade in the bottom-left corner, switch to the Education plan and click "Verify as student".

  3. 03

    Finish SheerID verification, then pay the $10/month.

The catches

  • It is a paid plan: $10/month, renewing until you cancel.

  • If SheerID rejects you, you cannot get Education Pro for now.

  • Users in India are billed in USD; rupee billing is not available yet.

Questions

Does my Perplexity account need my school email?

No. The SheerID email can be different. Note which account you redeemed it on.

My Education Pro status is not showing. What now?

Check for a failed payment, confirm SheerID approved you, and make sure you are logged in to the account you redeemed it on.
