Questions about NordVPN
Is there a NordVPN student discount?
Yes. NordVPN's student and employee discount page offers students an extra 15% off, verified through Student Beans. Student Beans shows it as up to 79% off the 2-year plans plus 3 extra months. We checked both pages on 26 Sep 2026.
What does NordVPN renew at?
The intro price only covers your first term. After that, Basic renews at $139.08/year, Complete at $219.48/year and Complete Max at $301.08/year. Auto-renewal is on by default and you can turn it off anytime in your Nord Account. For plans longer than a month, NordVPN says it emails you before charging.
Can I get a refund?
Within 30 days of your first purchase, yes. The money-back guarantee covers the first subscription only, not renewals (unless local law says otherwise). App Store purchases are refunded by Apple, and resellers like Best Buy handle their own refunds.
Is NordVPN cheaper outside the US?
We checked from India and saw USD prices with a note that GST may apply. We could not see the UK or EU pages, so check nordvpn.com/pricing from where you live before paying.
